UPDATED ON 22nd DECEMBER
A perhaps timely reminder that we have several pieces of assistance equipment available, for loan and/or mostly to keep. They may also be of short-term use if you are visiting, or being visited, over the holiday period. See our «Assistance equipment available» page and read more below.
UPDATED ON 26th SEPTEMBER
The same kind person who loaned us another wheelchair also donated a shower-stool and a new, unused raised toilet-seat. Our «Assistance equipment available» page illustrates all that's currently available to anyone locally, under the terms set out below.

UPDATED ON 5th AUGUST
Already this month, we've received kind donations of a toilet-surround frame and five crutches, whilst the "extra" wheelchair and the wheeled walker (with tray) have been accepted by grateful recipients. What remains is listed via the link below. Any other surplus assistance equipment in your garages and sheds would be most gratefully received, for passing on to anyone who has come into need for it within the Alde River Benefice / "Ebb and Flow" area.
Please note that all this equipment is second-hand, albeit mostly in as-new condition, and of course we check for obvious faults, but recipients must be aware too that we are not experts, and no liability can be accepted for its suitability or safety. Items are on offer to keep, but if suitable can be available on short-term loan too.
UPDATED ON 19th JULY
The "surprise" wheelchair that came to us in May is now out on approval [SUBSEQUENTLY ACCEPTED] with a lady in Benhall Green, and who has been housebound for many months during the pandemic.
Although our Scheme's coverage is technically limited to Snape and the Maltings area (Dunningworth), we of course are aware of a need in the wider area. We now find there is a ready source of redundant equipment there too, as this week we received a kind offer from a Blaxhall family, of ten various as-new items for collection from Sax! All that is now available is listed on our new «Assistance equipment available» page, and is free (or for an optional donation to the Snape Good Neighbour Scheme) to anyone with a genuine need within "Ebb and Flow"s coverage area. Updates may appear in E&F too, but will lag behind the webpage.
So, quite by happy chance, we find ourselves dealers in fine assistance equipment(!), but it is a challenge that we're happy and honoured to take on. Requests for, and offers of, equipment are most welcome. Leave a message on our answerphone (☏ 0754 1754 426), or email email@example.com, and we'll be back to you promptly. Thank you.
UPDATED ON 4th JULY AT 15:30
The kitchen stool and walking-frame have just been delivered to a lady in the Snape Maltings area, who has made a kind donation to the Good Neighbour Scheme.
UPDATED ON 1st JULY
Since the article in June's "Ebb and Flow", in which each of the items mentioned are still available to a good home, we've obtained a padded tubular steel kitchen stool with a backrest, also in good condition — as mentioned now in July's.
POSTED ON 31st MAY
Having seen our wheelchair feature in May's "Ebb and Flow", a Snape resident has kindly thought to pass us yet another one, a walking-frame, a shopping trolley and a plastic bathroom-stool! Everything is as new — the stool is even still in its delivery packaging. Our donor is happy for the items to be passed on to anyone who can make genuine use of them — whether in Snape, within the Benefice or further afield. Please leave a message on our answerphone or email firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
