UPDATE ON 18th FEBRUARY, 2023
—
Thanks very much to all of you who turned up for the Litter Pick this morning. The sky threatened rain, and was a worry that collecting and the modest coffee to follow would be compromised. However, the weather was kind enough. There were more litter-pickers than usual — including one Miranda Barclay on her bike — and our number and enhanced mobility allowed us to range further in our eagle-eyed search for debris. What a lot we found! — tins, bottles, plasticized rags, car carpet and other savouries in the way of wildlife and Snape’s pristine beauty. The far end of Priory Road is a particular offender, as is the car-park and the surrounding area near the Church. Of course, this is not Snape Villagers’ rubbish, so all pickers are admired for their public spirit. Thanks again.

Spring and SNAPE LITTER PICK need you!
February is an especially important time to clear the hedgerows of litter
which is in the way of new growth and wildlife.
As happens annually, we have a litter pick around the village —
this year on 18th February at 9:25am, meeting in front of the Village Hall.
Litter-grabbers and rubbish bags will be provided, but please bring your own gloves.
We have some hi-vis jackets too — but if you have your own, it will probably be a better fit.
Coffee/tea will then be served at Garrett Close from around 10:30 to 11:00.
