Dear All,
Sorry for the short notice, but I've been getting people to man the barricades (a.k.a. trestle table). There will be National Grid exhibitions of their Sea Link project this week in the area.
THURSDAY, 1 - 8pm — ALDEBURGH
The Old Generator Station, Kings Field, Aldeburgh, IP15 5HY
(formerly Aldeburgh Community Centre, beside Tesco's)
FRIDAY, 1 - 8pm — FRISTON
Friston Village Hall, next to St Mary the Virgin, Church Road, IP17 1PU
SATURDAY, 10am - 5pm — SAXMUNDHAM
Fromus Centre (behind Library), Saxmundham Hub, Street Farm Road, IP17 1AL
N.B. No longer in Seaman Avenue, since November 2021
National Grid's Sea Link will probably cross the beach north of Aldeburgh, then onwards to the planned Friston sub-station — resulting in considerable disruption (extra traffic and road closures), environmental damage and loss of tourism-related jobs. Coupled with the other projects, including Sizewell C, it will also be a general blight on the area, and coastal Suffolk will suffer significantly for a decade or more.

Thanks, David
