At Girls about Snape's next Open Meeting on Tuesday, 3rd September at 7:30pm in the Village Hall, we are looking forward to hearing about the history of the cinema in Leiston from the manager, Wayne Burns. Leiston Film Theatre — or Leiston Picture House, as it was originally named — opened in October 1914, and has traded continuously for 109 years, making it Suffolk's oldest surviving purpose-built cinema.
We meet at Snape Village Hall, IP17 1RN the first Tuesday every month (except August).
Members are free, and it is only £5.00 for visitors, including refreshments.
