On Thursday, 8th May from 6:00pm, Snape village will be commemorating the 80th Anniversary of VE-Day with an event on the green adjacent to St John’s Church. The Rev Rob Leveritt will make an address prior to the Lighting of the Beacon at 9.30pm.
We will have a BBQ, music, a piper, displays from children at Snape School, community singing and much more, hopefully finishing with the Lighting of the Beacon. Feel free to bring your own picnic food and refreshments.
There will be a fancy dress competition with WW2 theme, and prizes for the best dressed adults and children.
Parking will be on Church Farm field behind the Church, with an accessible drop-off point near the Church.
