SEA LINK REGISTRATION RE-OPENS FROM 18 JULY to 18 AUGUST
The Planning Inspectorate recently announced that due to errors and omissions in the NGET DCO (National Grid Electricity Transmission Development Consent Order) submission, they are reopening the 'relevant representation' (RR) for one month from 18th July to 18th August. [This is for the Sea Link proposal at Wood Farm, Sternfield, IP17 1XE.] If you haven’t already done so, here is a second chance to get friends and family to register.
This 'relevant representation' (RR) period is open to all persons who have not already made a valid representation during the previous period ending 23:59 Monday, 23rd June 2025. The UK Government's Planning Inspectorate (PINS) has announced that [until then] 5,609 members of the community formally registered and voiced their opposition to Sea Link.

Dear Local Resident, Visitor to the area or a Concerned Party from elsewhere,
The public information below is a reminder that we are approaching crunch time for the energy proposals that, if implemented, would irreversibly industrialise and change for ever the character of our beloved East Suffolk coast. It is by no means a done deal, and you can still play a part in opposing these destructive proposals.
[Derek Walduck, Chair of GreenSnape, has kindly allowed reproduction below of his email to GS members. This attaches and expands upon a recent Update email from SEAS (Suffolk Energy Action Solutions) about the proposed Sea Link converter station. This would connect into the proposed Friston substation, still itself awaiting official consent — although preparations have already started along Grove Road, Friston. We can see too a foretaste of this disruption in only the preliminary, but quite unrelated, infrastructure activity for the as yet incompletely funded Sizewell C — north of Leiston (at Lover's Lane and Abbey Road), and on the A12 at both Wickham Market and Yoxford.
You are invited to sign up as an 'Interested Party' in the Sea Link proposals BY 23rd JUNE at 23:59. These two emails are followed below by a plea to do so from one of our East Suffolk Councillors, who explains why. — Webmaster]
Dear Friends and Supporters,

The SEA LINK DCO (Development Consent Order) REGISTRATION IS NOW LIVE!
You can read about the Project at

SIGN UP AS AN INTERESTED PARTY in order to
have YOUR say on National Grid's devastating Sea Link plans
by heading over to sign-up.uk, via the link at
https://www.suffolkenergyactionsolutions.co.uk/sealink-dco-register/
You can read more about the DCO Process at

WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
SEA LINK AND LIONLINK are both part of the same on-shore system of projects that will create a huge industrial Energy Hub in the Suffolk Coastal area.
At this DCO Planning Examination [by PINS, the UK Government's Planning Inspectorate], WE HAVE A HUGE OPPORTUNITY TO STOP SEA LINK, TO PUSH THESE PROJECTS OFFSHORE AND TO PRE-INDUSTRIALISED SITES CLOSER TO DEMAND FOR ENERGY.
The deadline for Registration is 23:59 hours on 23rd June, but please don't delay too long — prepare your objections and responses to PINS now and SIGN-UP soon. Read our examples/template to help you prepare your own 'Relevant Representations', which are your comments to submit as part of your registration.
[To start all this, please click on the blue image below.]
EVERY SINGLE RESPONSE MATTERS.
Whether you are local resident, visitor to the area
or a concerned party from elsewhere,
the more responses the better!
PINS will take notice of the volume and quality of responses.
Please share the sign-up link (below) far and wide!
