Orchid walk, Sn Marshes
UPDATE, TUE 2nd JUNE 13:30: The walk is now limited to GreenSnape members,
to whom Derek and Lesley have just emailed the new arrangements.
☞ Coronavirus: Although SWT "offices, centres and hides are all closed and all events are cancelled at this time", the walk is to be led privately by GreenSnape's Derek and Lesley Walduck — so it will go ahead if (and as far as) the official guidance at that time allows. SWT remind us to "please take responsibility for your own safety and that of other visitors, by following the two-metre social-distancing guidance throughout your visit".
A GreenSnape walk to see southern marsh orchid (above), yellow rattle, ragged robin and other wild flowers that are being encouraged by a cutting regime that GreenSnape helps with. Suffolk Wildlife Trust's Snape Marshes aren't normally open to the public, apart from the "level stone-surfaced pedestrian path around the perimeter of the reserve".
