THE POSTMAN ALWAYS RINGS TWICE (A) 1946:
Just a reminder that this Friday, Great Movies in Glemham are showing the 1946 film starring Lana Turner, John Garfield and Cecil Kellaway.
Nick Smith, a middle-aged roadside diner owner hires drifter Frank Chambers to work at his restaurant. Frank soon begins an affair with Nick's beautiful young wife Cora, and the two conspire to kill Nick and seize his assets. When they succeed, local prosecutor Kyle Sackett becomes suspicious but is unable to build a solid case, and Cora manages to escape the murder charge. However, the pair soon realise that no misdeed ever goes truly unpublished.
As usual, the doors will open at 7.15pm and the film will start at 7.45pm. This community cinema is open to all readers of "Ebb and Flow". There is no charge, but donations to help with costs are welcomed. Wine, soft drinks and nibbles are always available.
