SNAPE GARDEN WASTE COLLECTIONS RESUME, BUT ON MONDAYS!
UPDATED: SUN 31st MAY AT 01:30
East Suffolk Council has set a date for the resumption of its garden waste collection service. Operations will restart on Bank Holiday Monday May 25, following an earlier suspension due to the impact of COVID-19, and all subscribers will receive their first collection during the subsequent fortnight. The Council has taken the decision to restart the service having been satisfied that criteria to ensure the safety of operatives have been met.
They also inform us elsewhere (but not on their garden waste webpage!) that "some garden waste collections may be made on an alternative day to that of your recycling collection ... within the same week". THIS APPLIES TO SNAPE, AND HENCEFORTH COLLECTIONS WILL BE MADE ON MONDAYS, NOT WEDNESDAYS. For Snape, then, they RESTART THIS MONDAY 1ST JUNE, the district council's "second Monday". If you wish to confirm this, just click on the graphic below, and supply the name of your street.
Our last garden-waste collection was on Wednesday 25th March.
