The annual 'Warm Rooms' welfare initiative of recent years has been revived this winter as 'Warm Welcomes', sponsored by East Suffolk Council with "a network of more than 20 village halls, churches and community hub venues in East Suffolk offering residents a warm, safe space". Locally, however, the only venues initially listed as within that scheme are Aldeburgh and Leiston libraries, but Suffolk Libraries continue to offer their year-round initiative at ALL their libraries, with the added benefit of all their facilities, about which you can read at
https://www.suffolklibraries.co.uk/resources/warm-welcome-support-in-our-libraries
As in previous years, Peter Wyllie has kindly offered free lifts to the 'Warm Welcome' libraries for any residents of Snape (and of Dunningworth, around the Maltings) who need them. Simply log a call with Snape Good Neighbours on ☏ 0754 1754 426.
Also, Saxmundham's IP17 Good Neighbour Scheme are offering soup, games to play and company each Sunday from 11am till 4pm to residents from the whole IP17 postcode area, until the end of March. See more details below, which you can download by clicking on this scanned ©Facebook post from the informative «Saxmundham — what's happening?!» page. Watch there for any subsequent updates — though IP17GNS have their own Facebook page too. The Gannon Rooms are behind the Bell Hotel.
