UPDATE ON THURSDAY, 8th DECEMBER

Dear All, What a great morning we all had — lots of people and a Grand Raffle, auctions and sale. Thanks to everyone who contributed to make this a very special Coffee Morning. We took £333.10 to help keep the hall maintained, so well done everyone — thanks for all your help.
Look forward to seeing you all in the new year, and have a very splendid Christmas. Our next Coffee Morning will be on 9th January.
Happy Christmas — Cheers, Mary

Dear All, I hear you had a wonderful Coffee Morning — sorry I couldn't make it, but the dreaded Covid struck. You made £210 towards maintenance of the Hall, which is brilliant. Thank you so much for all your efforts, including at Mel's Christmas stall (below). Hope to see you all next month.
Regards, Mary

Whoops! It is NOT the Christmas Coffee Morning on Thursday!! — but I STILL need Christmas Bric-a-Brac and decorations for the Christmas Coffee Morning in DECEMBER.
Many thanks indeed,
Mel

The next Coffee Morning, on 10th November at 10:00am, will be our Christmas Coffee Morning, with the Grand Raffle and also a Christmas Bric-a-Brac stall. Anyone who would like to donate unwanted gifts, Christmas decorations or bric-a-brac, please bring it along to the Village Hall before the day and leave it in the kitchen (when the hall is open) — or contact me who am able to collect.
Many thanks,
Mel Thurston

We had a very successful 10th Anniversary Coffee Morning – the next one is on 10th of November at 10:00am. Time goes so quickly that it doesn't seem 10 years since the first one. We are now looking forward to the next 10 years, if we can find a Chairman and Vice Chairman. If we can't find a Chairman before the next AGM in April, we may have to return the hall to the Parish Council, who will then have to make a decision on the whole future. So please — someone step up to the job to keep our hall running and well-managed. I will be 84 by the next AGM and my memory is failing, so someone younger needs to take over. It's not brain surgery — just some practical skills and leadership needed.

Thanks so much for all the help and contributions to the Coffee Morning. We had a lovely 10th Anniversary Cake and lots of people attending — we made over £160.00.
Thanks, Janet, for sourcing the cake, and Caroline as usual performing the honours for the raffle, with Ilse selling the tickets, helpers setting up and clearing away, the Kitchen Crew — and Mike who steadfastly sorts and mans the bookstall every month.
Thanks very much to everyone and we look forward to seeing you next month.

The Snape Village Hall Shop is all ready for the Coffee Morning, next Thursday (13th). There are lots and lots of bric-a-brac, books, puzzles and games. Do come along and give us a look! More bric-a-brac is needed — and also unwanted Christmas decorations etc ready for the Christmas stall at the November Coffee Morning. Just bring it along to the hall, or contact me and I'll be able to collect. Many thanks,
Mel Thurston

Dear All, We are awaiting the insurance claim to be assessed for repairing our flagpole. This has been particularly frustrating, as we were not able to show our respect for the late Queen by flying the flag at half-mast. Hopefully, it will be restored to its former glory soon.
On 8th September, we held our usual Coffee Morning for the first time for several months. A good attendance, and the opportunity to come together was much appreciated. Our next Coffee Morning will be on Thursday, 13th October.
We are still seeking a new chairman and vice-chairman. We desperately need someone who has time and commitment to come forward and volunteer. Come on, you newly retired! — you must be looking to make a contribution to your community?

Also, don't forget that we're holding a Yard Sale on the following Saturday, the 10th, from 10:00am to 4:00 pm — you can read more here.

Dear All,
Another great Coffee Morning was held this month in lovely summer weather, but shaded by our gazebos. Everybody was enjoying themselves, and we took £270.11 for the upkeep of the Hall — a fantastic result! Thanks, Caroline, who steadfastly calls the Raffle for us, and Tim for the auction of Clive's wind machine! Caroline celebrated her nnth birthday with us, was a good sport and blew out her candle — we had a large cake too, but Covid makes us more cautious about breathing over cakes! Many thanks to all who helped, and those who came and spent their hard-earned money!
Next month, our September Coffee Morning will be on Thursday 8th at 10:00am.
Everyone welcome!

How amazing is that!! Well done everyone! It felt like a lovely morning — and not just because I had cake!! Thank you all for helping to celebrate my birthday, which has already gone on for a couple of days — but, as family are coming over tomorrow, it’s likely to go on for another two days, with more cake and probably ice cream!!
Once again, an excellent result. What a great team!
All the best, Caroline

It's that time of the month again, and there will be a Coffee Morning in the Village Hall this Thursday, from 10:00am to 11:30. Thanks in advance to those of you who each month give your time to help, for which we are most appreciative. Looking forward to seeing those of you who are available, for a very pleasant morning.

UPDATED ON THURSDAY, 14th JULY

Our July coffee morning was under a glorious blue sky shaded by our Gazebos.
A very pleasant time was enjoyed by all, and our bric-a-brac was very popular.
We raised £184.70 for the maintenance of the hall.
Many thanks to all our helpers, who made the event such a success.
Next Coffee Morning is August 11th — all welcome — entry and coffee £1.00.

The next Coffee morning will be on 14th July at 10:00am. Donations of Bric-a-Brac are very welcome for the stall, as they all help to keep the Hall well maintained. You can take them to the Village Hall on the day or (whenever the post office is open) leave them in the Hall's kitchen. No more books at present, though, thank you!
We're gradually getting the Village Hall back together after the storm earlier in the year. The windows have now been replaced in the Snooker Hall, the electrics are now all sorted, and the Millennium Clock should be coming back this week. We just have to reposition that, and we are all done.
We had another successful Coffee Morning yesterday — £184.

Thanks to all friends of the Village Hall for making the May Coffee Morning such a success. I was away on holiday, so take no responsibility for the final outcome of both a splendid morning and £163 towards the maintenance of the hall.
We now have a clothes bank at the hall, which is being well used and is definitely a plus for the village.
The leaded lights broken by storm Eunice are now under repair, as is the clock. We hope all will be repaired, and as good as new, shortly.
Our next Coffee Morning is on Thursday 9th at 10am, and we look forward to seeing you all.

Dear Everyone,
What a lovely morning! Thank you all so much for all your support and help and donations etc. We took £168, which is a good result. Every little helps.
I also have some things I am sending to 'Vintage Cash Cow' and some I will put on eBay, and yet more to the auction rooms in Campsea Ashe. So there will be more to come.
We're arranging for a Clothing Bank, situated on the grass to the front of the Village Hall for all to use. This will give us an additional income, and be an asset for the village.
Kind Regards,
Mary Wyllie

Storm Eunice caused quite a lot of damage to the hall. Our Millennium Clock was blown off the gable-end of the Snooker Club. It then dangled by its cable in the wind, and broke around 20 panels of the leaded glass windows which are over 100 years old. We're attempting to get esti-mates to repair these, and return the clock (when mended) to its original glory. |

We also suffered a power surge causing damage to lights/heating/fire alarms/dehumidifier and fuse boxes. We are also in the process of getting these repaired. However we had an excellent Village Coffee Morning on 10th March taking over £200. Every little helps towards the running of the Hall. Thanks to all our volunteers who helped and to the people who donated items for the bric-a-brac. I think we have sufficient books for the moment, but all other items are welcomed. Contact Mel on ☏ 01728 688849. We have recently had new hard-standing installed at the rear of the Hall, with additional disabled parking and a path for wheelchairs to gain easy access to the hall. Next Coffee Morning will be on April 14th. See you all there. Mary Wyllie |

The Trustees would like to express their thanks to all the generous people who gave items for the raffle and bric-a brac-for the Village Coffee Morning. It amazes me what keeps coming in.
We made £309.50 this month and over 50 visitors came, which is a brilliant result. We are grateful to the many volunteers who make this happen each month. It provides much needed funds to keep the hall maintained and in use.
The next Coffee Morning is on Thursday, 10th March — 10am till 11.30 am. All are welcome!

Bric-a-brac and books are needed for the Snape Village Hall Coffee Mornings — your unwanted items would be greatly received. Mel Thurston can collect (☏ 688849), or you can take them on the day to our Coffee Mornings, held on the 2nd Thursday of the month — the next THIS THURSDAY, 10th February, 10am to noon. Do come along, too, and visit our very own bespoke bric-a-brac shop, from which all proceeds go to Village Hall funds.

We had another enjoyable Coffee Morning today. In spite of the cold weather, and the need to have good ventilation in the hall, everyone enjoyed themselves. We made £172 towards the running of the Hall. It all helps to keep it smart and up to date for hall users.
Thank you to all the helpers who made this possible, and the generous donation to the bric-à-brac — and, of course, the people who came and made it a very sociable event.
See you all at next month's Coffee Morning on Thursday, 10th February.

The first Coffee Morning of the year will be held on Thursday, 13th January at 10am to 11:30. We will comply with any Covid-19 restrictions in force at the time. If possible, can all helpers do a Lateral Flow Test prior to attending, please? Many thanks

Snape Village Hall's Coffee mornings go from strength to strength — and December was no exception. Everyone enjoyed the festive atmosphere, and people donated raffle prizes, auction items and Christmas decorations to be sold in aid of hall funds.
I would like to thank all the helpers and others who contributed to the success of the morning, where we raised over £400 for the running of the hall.
Our next Coffee Morning will be on January 13th, and we look forward to seeing you all.
