Village Hall Update for March

Pargiter TrustWhat a difference a floor makes!! Our thanks must go to the Pargiter Trust, administered through Suffolk Community Foundation for their generous grant. The village hall looks like new! Amazing! The floor was sanded down and resealed during half term. Although the closure caused some disruption, the consensus of opinion is that it was worth it. The hall looks clean, bright and airy and our bookings are up!

There’s so much going on here – we have choir on a Tuesday evening, yoga and mindfulness starting on April 14th at 1pm (subsequent sessions will be Thursday mornings apart from coffee mornings) a new toddler dance group on a Friday morning, Zumba on Friday evenings as well as our regular longstanding events throughout the week. We also had a pop up Indian restaurant recently which was a great success. Hopefully it will pop up again very soon!

We would like to thank SCDC councillors TJ Haworth-Culf and Maureen Jones for providing the grant to purchase 12 new chairs with arms and Alan Edwards and Tim Beach for putting them together! Much appreciated.

The village hall AGM will be held on 11th April, 6.30pm at the hall.

We will have vacancies for new committee members and would welcome anyone who would like to get involved either as a committee member or volunteer helpers. Our next projects include refurbishing the kitchen floor and female cloakroom floor. Also replacing the current tube lighting with led tubes for greater efficiency.

Our next coffee morning is on April 14th at 10am. Please come and join us. As always, if you have any good quality bric a brac please contact Caroline Beach on 01728 689136 or bring it along to the next coffee morning.

Thank you
