Village Hall News

Old buildings need constant care and attention and the village hall is no exception! Unfortunately a car threw up a stone and shattered one of the front windows which had to be replaced. The back fire door was no longer fit for purpose and needed replacing and the internal doors into the main hall haven’t shut properly for as long as many of us can remember! As a result we now have replacement internal doors on our refurbishment list. All these things cost money which we continue to raise from our monthly coffee mornings.

The June event raised £180! As always our raffle is very popular thanks to all our lovely donors. We must thank Neville E for the fantastically crafted nesting box made from wood donated by east coast building supplies in Leiston and Geraldine W for the beautiful hanging basket. Sharon V also donated some home grown produce. The prizes were endless.

Thank you. We will be selling bric a brac at the village fun day and again at the coffee morning on 9th August. Everyone is welcome. We look forward to seeing you soon.

If you need a lift please phone Caroline on 689136.
