Sixteen GreenSnape members spent a wonderful, sunny July afternoon at the picturesque Bedfield Hall in deepest High Suffolk in the company of its owner, Timothy Easton. Artist, sculptor and architectural historian, Timothy was a welcoming and engaging host who revealed to us the history of the 11th-Century Church next door, and the moated 15th-Century Hall with its fascinating symbols on walls and ceilings.

We enjoyed sitting in the peaceful garden in the sun, with a plentiful supply of tea and homemade cakes baked by two local ladies. The visit was enhanced by nesting swifts, house martins and bees, then topped off by a good close view of a passing red kite!
