Snape deserves a bus service
"Snape deserves a bus service!" — East Suffolk Travel Association (ESTA)
The East Suffolk Railway passes across the Alde valley between Farnham and Blaxhall, on its way between Ipswich and Lowestoft. The trains call at Saxmundham and Wickham Market stations every hour, seven days a week. Indeed, the Sunday service was increased to hourly from 15th December.
Benhall, Farnham, Stratford St Andrew and Little Glemham have a good bus service along the A12, and Sternfield is served by a BorderBus service 521 three times a day. Snape and Blaxhall deserve a better bus service – and what about Great Glemham?
ESTA is a voluntary body which has campaigned since the 1960's for improved train and bus services, and welcomes the new trains which will benefit both local people and visitors.
Our next meeting will be on Saturday, 15th February in Quay Street Church, Woodbridge, starting at 14:00.
