Visit for Snape residents to Suffolk Recycling and Waste Facility
Wednesday 2nd August 2017
Find out what actually happens to your rubbish once it is collected from your bin. This visit to the two sites—recycling and waste—will change the way you throw your rubbish away. It’s fascinating and well worth the time. Suffolk has one of the better records on recycling and waste management but there’s still a long way to go and much to learn. Please sign up if you are interested in coming. We need a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 20 people.
Email Mary James at email@example.com for further information.
We have made provisional arrangements for a site visit on Weds. 2nd August. We will make our own car pool arrangements to get to Great Blakenham—allow approx. 45 minutes. People in other parishes may be interested if we don’t get enough takers in Snape.

Please be aware that the EfW plant tour takes about 2 hours and involves walking 1.5km, going up and down over 300 stairs, walking up 23 meters it is not suitable for visitors with mobility issues or vertigo. The plant tour involves mesh walkways and visitors need to wear sturdy shoes e.g. trainers or walking boots and full length trousers. Also the minimum age for visitors is 7 and pregnant women cannot go on plant. Please note that people with pacemakers can’t tour the MRF plant as there are very strong magnets.
